Health benefits of Soyabean Oil
An integrated food fortification project was launched in Rajasthan in February 2014 to combat micro-nutrient malnutrition. Edible oil was also included in this drive. The program objective was to improve the health and nutrition status of thousands of the people in the desert state.
Chambal® Refined Soyabean Oil was a participant in this project. Chambal® Refined Soyabean Oil is fortified with Vitamins A & D. This been done as part of the project implemented by the Indian Institute of Health Management & Research (IIHMR) with technical and financial support from the international development agency, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).
Vitamin A (retinol) is an essential nutrient needed in small amounts by humans for the normal functioning of the visual system; growth and development; and maintenance of epithelial cellular integrity, immune function, and reproduction.
Vitamin D is required to maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphate, which are in turn needed for the normal mineralization of bone, muscle contraction, nerve conduction, and general cellular function in all cells of the body.
