10 second read: Alleviation of humble khichdi and daliya to superb levels. Positively not food for the sick, as is the popular adage! This preparation is amazingly nutritious too.

Final preparation
a) Take a heavy pressure cooker. Add the ghee and add the jeera and hing. Once it crackles add the chilly, haldi, ginger, daliya, daal, salt and tomatoes and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
b) Add water and mix again. Put the lid and cook till 3 to 4 whistles.
c) Serve hot with curd.

Simply add vegetables to make a meal of it and fill your tummy to the fullest.
