10 second read: a variation of a commonly had dessert across North India, this can also be called the Indian version of the home style fruit custard.
Final preparation
Cook the full fat milk in a heavy bottomed pan (stirring occasionally)for 25 to 30 minutes and reduce to half. Add the sugar, saffron and the cardamom powder and let it cool down to room temperature.
Refrigerate it for a few hours. Add the prepared fruit just before service.
Use seasonal fruit in this dish - the fresher, the better! However, try to mix the fruits as close to the service time as possible.
